INDIA
Bilateral Trade: India is 9th largest trading partner of Australia. During 2021, Bilateral trade in goods and services with India was US$ 31.1 billion, with exports of goods and services worth US$ 12.5 billion and imports of goods and services worth US$ 18.6 billion. This is set to increase exponentially with their growing trade ties.

UAE
The UAE’s economic objectives are to strengthen ties internationally to build on its position as a global trade and logistics hub. The view is that signing Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (CEPAs) is crucial to achieving this goal. The UAE signed its first bilateral trade agreement with India in February 2022 which came into effect as of May 2022. India is the second-largest trading partner of the UAE. The UAE aims to deepen ties with strategic partners around the world. This is in pursuit of the UAE’s Projects of the 50, a series of bold initiatives driving the nation’s next phase of sustainable development. As a result of this in March 2022, HE Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi Minister of State for Foreign Trade issued a joint statement announcing Australia and the UAE’s intention to pursue a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

AUSTRALIA
Australia is the 17th largest trading partner of India, while New Delhi is Canberra’s 9th largest trading partner. The Australia-India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA) was signed on 2nd April 2022. The agreement will secure Australia’s foothold in the world’s fastest-growing large economy and enable Australian businesses to unlock or expand their operations in a market of nearly one and a half billion consumers. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is Australia’s largest trade and investment partner in the Middle East. With $6.8 billion in two-way trade in 2020 (over $10 billion pre-COVID), the UAE is Australia’s 19th largest export market globally for goods and services.
